Shreya was introduced to music at a very young age, and her father noticed her inclination toward rhythm when she was just three years old. He was surprised to see his young daughter playing the tabla with ease, and that’s when he realized that Shreya had a special talent for music.
Shreya’s father wasted no time in getting her formal training in tabla playing. At the age of four, Shreya started taking lessons from her father, who was a tabla player. Later, she started taking lessons from Shri. Sachin Jagtap, a music teacher at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bokajan. Later she was very fortunate that she received valuable guidance, blessings, love, and support from none other than the most respected living legend Ustad Sabir Khan Saheb Ji (Kolkata) for a very short period of time. Shreya’s interest in tabla playing grew with each passing day, and she started practicing for hours every day.

Shreya’s passion for tabla playing has been the driving force behind her success. She is known for her dedication and hard work and spends more than seven hours every day practicing, with the blessings of Maa Saraswati she then started her advanced training from her Guru Shri Swapnil Bhise Ji, a disciple of the legendary tabla Guru Pandit Yogesh Samsi Ji of ( Punjab Gharana).
Shreya’s dedication and hard work have paid off, and she has achieved what few have at her age. At just 13 years old, she has broken the India book of record for the longest tabla play time, playing for 1 hour 2 minutes, and 53 seconds. This achievement has made her a household name in the world of tabla playing and has inspired many young musicians to follow in her footsteps. Shreya believes that whatever recognition she receives is only because of the blessings of Maa Saraswati Ji, her Guru’s, her parents and of course her well-wishers.
